what a long spell of beautiful weather, weve had sunshine for the last 2/3 weeks and its set to stay for another 8 days, its fantastic, you can actually plan what to do tomorrow, the garden is in full flower and is absaloutly stunning again, still a few flowers to come but its looking good, Have the lambing shed cleaned out and nearly time to start shearing, will go to the ppeat bog later today and get some more peats cut, its perfect for drying and the wind is keeping the midgies away.
I had a real treat on saturday, when the Kelpie guests arrived they asked to go for a walk to see the fishing spots so we went over to Oisgill bay and on the way back I found a deers antler, never found one of them before, and it was just over the fence from the garden, recently there have been 12 deer in the gardens early in the morning, beautiful to see but not the best visitors to have, anyway one of them left me a present. The blue mink whales have arrived but no sightings of basking sharks yet, the mackeral are in so the fishing is good.my guests are spending their week fishing and have perfect weather for it too
Better get on with the day although its hardly dark at all now, and the sunsets are stunning. not many waterfalls but we are not complaining.
